We’re proud to introduce: Ecologi. This organization combines technology and environmental action by giving companies direct and easy access to support local reforestation projects around the world.
Ecologi works with a range of respected project partners to plant trees and help companies offset their CO2 emissions. One example is its project partner Eden Reforestation Projects, which Ecologi works with to restore forests in countries such as Madagascar, Haiti and Nepal. Since it was founded in 2004, Eden Reforestation Projects has planted more than 333 million trees, creating jobs and improving living conditions in local communities through reforestation. Another Ecologi project partner is the Wildlife Conservation Society, which works to protect wildlife and their habitats. Together with the Wildlife Conservation Society, Ecologi supports a mangrove restoration project in Indonesia. Restoring mangrove forests is especially important because they not only absorb carbon, but also provide vital ecosystems and protect coastlines from storms and erosion.
Here’s what Ecologi has already achieved:
Ecologi is a trusted organization because it works transparently and regularly reports on its projects and progress. On its website, Ecologi publishes updates on its projects, including how many trees have been planted and how much CO2 has been offset. It has also undergone an independent third-party review to verify that its projects have a positive environmental impact. The independent review was carried out by Carbon Footprint, which confirmed that Ecologi’s projects help reduce carbon in the atmosphere and have a positive environmental impact.
Planting trees matters because they absorb carbon from the atmosphere and convert it into oxygen. This helps reduce the greenhouse effect and improve our planet over the long term. Mangroves are especially important because they not only absorb carbon, but also form vital ecosystems. Mangrove forests protect coastlines from storms and erosion and provide habitat for many animal species.
That’s why the partnership between NASH and Ecologi is especially valuable, because both organizations are working for a better planet. Together, we can improve NASH’s positive environmental impact in the places where it is needed most, while Ecologi and its local partners plant trees and protect them as they grow.
